Capital Loyal Dog

Stories about how loyal dogs can be to owners who treat them right are pretty common, and we’ve got one to tell you today.

This here is the tale of Capitán.

Capital Loyal Dog

Capitán is a handsome German Shepherd who used to Manuel Guzman’s best friend. Unfortunately, the latter died in 2006 and Capitán has been mourning his death ever since. After Manuel’s funeral, Capitán ran away.

But to the surprise of Manuel’s family, they found the loyal dog grieving at his gravesite. Veronica Guzman, Manuel’s widow, says: “We had never taken him to the cemetery so it is a mystery how he managed to find the place.”

Capitán leaves the cemetery sometimes but would always return to Manuel’s side before dark. He’s now being taken care of by the cemetery’s staff.

Cemetery director Hector Baccega explains: “During the day he sometimes has a walk around the cemetery, but always rushes back to the grave. And every day, at six o’clock sharp, he lies down on top of the grave and stays there all night.”

Now that’s loyal.
