Apparently, studios now want you to shoulder the bill for your 3D glasses. Even though movie tickets to watch 3D versions of movies are already pricier, the price is about to go higher.
Up until now, studios have been the ones paying for the 3D glasses that movie theaters hand out during screenings. However, Sony has decided that, starting next May, they won’t be shelling out the money to provide the glasses. Movie theaters obviously don’t want to be ones left shouldering the bill either. So the cost of the glasses are now left for the movie goers to shoulder.
The 2D version of the movie, anyone?
